Pianist Martin Oei asked young filmmakers to make a visualization of Franz Liszt’s life. He plays works by the famous Hungarian composer. The performance is called Tom & Jerry in de Tuin der Lusten and Martin will perform this program three times in the Concertgebouw. He had videos made especially for the Liszt compositions, with which he highlights aspects of Franz Liszt’s life: from a young pianist with intense love affairs to the maecenas who helped people in need.

Martin ends the performance with the humorous Tom & Jerry cartoon from 1947. With this performance he hopes to interest a younger audience in classical piano music.
