Many of you wanted to know where I host my online course and if I can recommend a platform. I herewith share my opinion of New Zenler, after having used the other big platforms like Thinkific, Teachable and Kajabi.
LOOKING FOR THE BEST PLATFORM TO HOST YOUR ONLINE COURSE?
As many of you know, besides teaching one-on-one and concerts, I am busy creating my online course Master The Art Of Singing and it is going well! The site is growing more and more each day and I have no less than 120 lessons in the making!
Launch day will soon come, and I am so excited to see my creation grow and become a reality. But it hasn’t been all roses! Before, I was struggling for years to make my course, and tried out platforms like Thinkific, Kajabi and Teachable.
After trying out Thinkific, Kajabi and Teachable, I found New Zenler and I love it!
And I like it so much! It is still in bèta, but fully functioning! The nice thing is that you can make suggestions to the owners and they really go out of their way to create a feature for you. There are tens of thousands of courses already up in the air and people and I think New Zenler will grow out to be the biggest and most succesfull of all.
The most important features to me are many, but I will try to name just a few.
Drag-and-drop builder for easy customization
Firstly, the drag-and-drop builder is super easy to use and lets you create your own look and feel. Kajabi and Teachable don’t do that as well, I think. Teachable has very limited options to style your way, and Kajabi offers it, but you have to pay a lot extra. The same goes for Thinkific, on the Pro plan I had the choice of three “themes” but it wasn’t possible to make it really my own. The editor is quick, and has all the blocks that you need already ready for you to use, you can just put them in the order you want, and use your own fonts and styles and colours. It has no difficult learning curve at all: anyone can do it within minutes!
Built in Marketing service
The second thing I like about New Zenler, is that it has a complete email marketing system built in. No more using (expensive) email programs and no more having to link them to New Zenler (or Zapier, for that matter). Of course, if you do want to use your own email marketing service, you can easily connect most of them without Zapier. I do use Mailerlite for getting leads (although that seems very big, I mail only once a month, since I am not a big blogger!), and for the course, I am using New Zenler’s email. They even have premade funnels ready for you to use for your students. You can for example send an email after every lesson completed. It is all built in!
Automatic invoice creation with EU VAT!
The third thing I like, is that the system automatically creates invoices with EU VAT added. This is a great advantage, because I think this should be automated. But in other platforms, you have to do this manually, and EU VAT cannot be added.
Host a webinar of live class in an easy way
The fourth feature is so great! Zoom is installed in New Zenler (you can throw your Zoom subscription in the trash) and you can easily hold live classes and webinars.
Go live on Facebook or Youtube within Zenler!
Fifth feature: you can then GO LIVE on Facebook and Youtube from within New Zenler! Yes, that’s right! No more need of two screens, you can just present with your slides to your audience!
No more waiting for support because of the wonderful community of members on Facebook
The sixth feature is that there is a fantastic group on Facebook of members, that help each other out. A problem? Don’t wait for support answering (although there is support of course), but ask the group and you will get your answer in minutes. No more wasted time, you can move forward in your creation process without waiting time!
