Due to the corona pandemic, the student concert of December 19th, a charity for the local animal shelter, DOA, is postponed. It will be held as soon as theater and cultural events are allowed again.

Soprano Irene de Raadt sings classical arias and songs from Fauré to Mozart, but also sings popular music. During her studies Classical Voice and Musical Theatre and Piano she was taught by Margreet Honig, Stephen Schwarz, Maria Rondél, Juanita Gilbert and Nelly Vrolijk. She then followed Master Classes and lessons at the Accademia Nazionale di Belcanto in Italy, amongst others with Astrea Amaduzzi. She played Maria in West Side Story and met Andrea Bocelli, with whom she recorded a duet and where she sang in the choir. Irene has performed as a soloist all over the world, including for HRH King Willem-Alexander, HRH Prince Albert of Monaco, Sting, and many others. Besides pop, musical and jazz (with the Gatsby Project) she also sings world music such as Spanish boleros, Brazilian bossas, Argentinian Tangos and Portuguese Fado.

Irene de Raadt is a much sought-after vocal and piano teacher with many well-known singing and piano students (Soldaat van Oranje, the Voice of Holland, The Orchestra of the Netherlands, “Op Weg Naar het Concertgebouw). She currently teaches online, but hopes to resume lessons in her studio soon, but online lessons will remain an option in the future. In her studio there is a Yamaha piano, a Yamaha silent grand piano and a recording studio. Her knowledge, almost 20 years of experience, her enthusiasm and commitment make her a valued and much sought after teacher.
